DAY 01Guwahati - Umiam Lake - Shillong

The group assembles at the pick up point at Guwahati where a brief introduction would be provided.

Enroute Shillong we would visit the popular Umiam Lake which is one of the biggest artificial lake in Meghalaya.

Afterwards we will head to our hotel.
Overnight stay in Shillong.
DAY 02Laitlum Canyon | Lyngksiar falls | Nohkalikai falls
A day trip to Laitlum Canyon, Lyngksiar Falls, and Nohkalikai Falls in Meghalaya offers a fantastic opportunity to explore some of the region’s most breathtaking natural wonders.

Depart from Shillong or your starting point and head towards Laitlum Canyon. The drive may take a couple of hours, but the scenic beauty along the way is worth it.

Upon reaching Laitlum, take some time to explore the stunning canyon and its panoramic views. Laitlum offers sweeping vistas of lush green hills, deep gorges, and the shimmering Umiam River. Enjoy the tranquil surroundings and capture some memorable photographs.

After our visit to Laitlum Canyon, we make our way to Lyngksiar Falls. The drive should take you through picturesque landscapes and charming villages.

On reaching Lyngksiar Falls, take a short hike or walk to reach the waterfall. Lyngksiar Falls is known for its natural beauty and serene atmosphere. Enjoy the refreshing spray of water and the peaceful surroundings.

After lunch, drive to Nohkalikai Falls. It’s located near Cherrapunjee and is a relatively short drive from Lyngksiar Falls.

Upon reaching Nohkalikai Falls, take a short hike to the viewpoint. Nohkalikai is one of the tallest plunge waterfalls in India, plunging from a great height into a deep blue pool. The view from the viewpoint is awe-inspiring and offers a fantastic photo opportunity.

DAY 03Double Decker Bridge | Rainbow Falls | Blue Lagoon.

We start our journey towards Tyrna Village.

From Tyrna, you’ll embark on a trek to Nongriat village. The trek takes around 2-3 hours and involves descending steep stairs.

Once you reach Nongriat, you’ll be rewarded with the sight of the unique Double Decker Bridge, an iconic living root bridge. Take your time to explore the bridge and the lush surroundings. You can also interact with the friendly local villagers. There are small eateries in Nongriat where you can enjoy a simple local meal.

After lunch, continue your trek from Nongriat to Rainbow Falls. The trail takes you through the picturesque Meghalayan rainforest. After about a 2-3 hour trek, you’ll arrive at the stunning Rainbow Falls, which is known for its vibrant rainbow effect created by the sunlight hitting the cascading waters. Spend some time here, enjoying the natural beauty and taking photographs.

From Rainbow Falls, trek further to the nearby Blue Lagoon. This crystal-clear pool is a perfect spot to relax and cool off after your trek. The Blue Lagoon is surrounded by lush greenery and offers a tranquil atmosphere.

After spending time at the Blue Lagoon, return to Nongriat village and climb back up the steep stairs to Tyrna village.

Drive back to the hotel.

DAY 04Mawsmai Cave |Dawki River
A day trip to Mawsmai Cave and Dawki River in Meghalaya offers a wonderful combination of natural wonders and adventure.

Depart from Cherrapunji as we head towards Mawsmai Cave.

Upon reaching Mawsmai Cave, explore this popular limestone cave system. It’s known for its impressive stalactites and stalagmites, as well as its well-lit pathways. We take a tour inside the cave to learn about its geological formations and history.

Have lunch at a local restaurant in Cherrapunjee.

After lunch, head towards Dawki, which is about a 2-hour drive from Mawsmai Cave. The road to Dawki takes you through picturesque landscapes, including lush hills and serene villages.

Upon reaching Dawki, head straight to the Dawki River. The clear and emerald-green waters of the Umngot River in Dawki are famous for their transparency. You can enjoy a memorable boating experience on the river, and if you’re lucky, you might spot the riverbed through the crystal-clear waters.

Will be camping by the riverside to enjoy the serene environment and the stunning river views.

DAY 05Water Activity at Dawki | Krang Suri Falls
A day filled with adventure and will visit the Krang Suri Waterfall.

For a more adventurous experience, you can go kayaking on the Umngot River. Paddle through the transparent waters and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. The clear and clean waters of the Umngot River make it an excellent spot for swimming as well.

Later on we head to Krang Suri Waterfall, which is a beautiful drive.

We need to trek to Krang Suri Waterfall. The trek is relatively short but involves descending and ascending a series of steps and steep trails.

Once you reach Krang Suri Waterfall, take in the mesmerizing beauty of the cascading waters surrounded by lush green forest. The turquoise-colored pool at the base of the waterfall is ideal for swimming and cooling off.

Drive back to Shillong.
Overnight stay in Shillong.
DAY 06Flight from Guwahati.
