Trek Itinerary
DAY 1Drive From Rishikesh to Lohajun
Distance: 260 km | Duration: Approximately 9 hours
Accommodation: Homestay/Hotel
The group will assemble at the designated pickup point at 06:00 AM, after which we’ll begin our scenic drive towards Lohajung, the base village for the Brahmatal Trek.
En route, we’ll pass through the picturesque Himalayan towns of Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnaprayag, offering beautiful views of the mountains and river valleys along the way.
Upon reaching Lohajung, we’ll check into our designated homestay/hotel and settle in.
The evening is at leisure to relax and prepare for the trek ahead. Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay in Lohajung.

DAY 2Trek from Lohajung to Bekaltal
Distance: 4 km | Duration: 4 hrs
Accommodation: Campsite
Start the day with an early breakfast and tea, followed by a briefing session with the trek leader covering the trail, safety guidelines, and important instructions.
Begin the trek towards Bekaltal, walking through beautiful dense oak and rhododendron forests. The gradual trail offers a peaceful introduction to the Himalayan landscape.
Upon reaching Bekaltal, settle into the campsite and take some time to relax, soak in the surroundings, and enjoy group bonding activities.
Enjoy a warm dinner around the campsite and spend the night under the beautiful mountain skies at Bekaltal Campsite.
DAY 3Trek from Bekaltal to Brahmatal
Distance: 7 km | Duration: 5 hrs
Accommodation: Campsite
Wake up to the crisp mountain air, enjoy an early morning tea and breakfast, and get ready for an exciting trek towards Brahmatal Lake.
The trail takes us through enchanting oak and rhododendron forests, gradually opening up to breathtaking Himalayan landscapes.
En route, we’ll cross Telandi, a vast open meadow that transforms into a beautiful snow-covered landscape during winter. The trail features a mix of ascents and descents before leading us towards the magnificent Brahmatal Lake.
Upon reaching Brahmatal, we’ll settle into our campsite located close to the lake. Spend some time relaxing and soaking in the spectacular surroundings, with panoramic Himalayan views stretching towards Nainital and Almora.
Enjoy a warm dinner at the campsite and settle in for a peaceful overnight stay at Brahmatal Campsite.
DAY 4Trek to Brahmatal Summit
Distance: 6 km | Duration: 5 hrs
Accommodation: Campsite
After an early morning breakfast, gear up for an exciting trek to the Brahmatal Summit, one of the highlights of the trek.
As we ascend, the trail takes us through the spectacular Garhwal Himalayas, offering breathtaking views of snow-covered peaks and vast mountain landscapes.
From the summit, enjoy magnificent panoramic views of prominent Himalayan peaks, including Mt. Trishul and Nanda Ghunti.
Spend some time at the summit soaking in the incredible surroundings and capturing unforgettable memories before beginning our descent.
Trek back to the campsite and unwind after an adventurous day in the mountains.
Enjoy a warm dinner followed by an overnight stay at Brahmatal Campsite.
DAY 5Brahmatal to Lohajung
Distance: 7 km | Duration: 5 hrs
Accommodation: Hotel/Homestay
After an early morning tea and breakfast, we’ll check out of the campsite and begin our descent towards Lohajung.
The trail takes us through the beautiful mountain forests. As we reach Malling, the dense forest gradually gives way to open landscapes, and you’ll start noticing the first signs of civilization.
Continue the descent towards Lohajung, enjoying the changing scenery and reminiscing about the incredible experiences of the trek.
Upon reaching Lohajung, check into the hotel/homestay and take some time to relax and freshen up.
Enjoy a hearty dinner followed by a comfortable overnight stay in Lohajung.
DAY 6Drive from Lohajung to Rishikesh
Distance: 260 km | Duration: 9 hrs
Wake up to a beautiful sunrise in the mountains, freshen up, and enjoy breakfast before checking out of the homestay.
Bid farewell to the peaceful surroundings of Lohajung as we begin our scenic drive towards Rishikesh.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the changing landscapes as we make our way through the Himalayan roads.
Upon arrival in Rishikesh, we’ll bid goodbye to the group, taking back wonderful memories and unforgettable experiences from the Brahmatal Trek.
End of the trip.
Note:
Drop-off time: 8:00 PM (Tentative) at Natraj Chowk / Tapovan Chowk.
It is recommended to book your return bus after 11:00 PM to allow sufficient buffer for the journey.
Inclusions & Exclusions
- 2 nights in a Hotel/Homestay on a triple/quad-sharing basis and 3 nights in tented accommodation on a triple-sharing basis.
- Surface transfers from Rishikesh – Lohajung – Rishikesh by Sumo, Bolero, or Tempo Traveller (Non-A/C), depending on the group size.
- All vegetarian meals from Dinner on Day 1 to Morning Tea on Day 6. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided from Day 2 to Day 5. Simple, nutritious vegetarian meals will be served throughout the trek.
- Trekking tents, sleeping bags, mattresses, dining tent, kitchen tent, and toilet tent.
- Qualified and experienced trek leader along with trained support staff.
- All necessary permits and applicable fees for Indian nationals.
- Gaiters, microspikes, and rope, if required.
- Walkie-talkies, basic first-aid kit, oximeter, blood pressure monitor, and oxygen cylinder.
- Local experienced guides, with the guide-to-participant ratio depending on the group size.
- Cloakroom facility available at the base camp for storing extra luggage.

- Meals during transit to and from the trek base.
- Travel or medical insurance of any kind. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance before the trek.
- Expenses arising due to unscheduled delays caused by landslides, roadblocks, weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Any additional costs arising due to Force Majeure events, including evacuation charges, if required.

- Bag Offloading - Bag offloading charges: ₹1,400 per bag. Maximum permissible weight: 10 kg per bag. Charges are payable separately and are not included in the trek package.

The booking will be confirmed upon receipt of 50% advance payment of the total tour cost.
The remaining 50% balance must be paid 10 days before the date of departure.
Bookings made within 15 days of departure must be paid 100% at the time of confirmation.
Confirmation is subject to availability of hotels, transportation and activities at the time of booking.
A booking confirmation/voucher will be shared once the required advance payment is received.
Any additional expenses arising due to changes requested by the guest after confirmation will be charged separately.
